Fuel Level Sensors

Know what's in the tank.
Zero guesswork.

A precision probe installed in each vehicle's tank streams real-time fuel levels to your Vetrol dashboard — and reconciles them against every liter your fleet actually paid for.

The Problem

Guessed fuel data costs you money.

Most fleets track fuel with receipts, logbooks, and driver honesty. The result: fuel bought but never delivered, tanks drained overnight, and consumption figures nobody can verify.

Siphoning is quiet. A few liters per vehicle per week doesn't show up in a monthly report — but across a fleet it becomes one of your largest hidden costs. And when you can't prove it happened, you can't stop it.

A fuel level sensor replaces estimates with evidence. Every liter in, every liter out — measured at the tank, timestamped, and tied to the vehicle's activity.

How It Works

From probe to proof in four steps.

Installed once. Working every second after.

1

Install & calibrate

A Vetrol technician fits the probe into the vehicle's tank and calibrates it against the tank's exact geometry. Takes under an hour per vehicle — no modification to engine or fuel lines.

2

Live level streaming

The sensor reads fuel level continuously and streams it to the Vetrol platform — while the vehicle is driving, parked, or fueling. You see the tank, not a logbook.

3

Reconciliation against POS

Every fill-up through a Vetrol POS is checked against the actual rise in tank level. Paid for 100 liters but only 92 arrived? The gap is flagged automatically.

4

Alerts on anomalies

Sudden drains, refills away from any station, or consumption spikes trigger instant alerts to the fleet manager — with the time, volume, and vehicle attached.

What You Get

Every liter accounted for.

Theft & siphoning detection

A level drop with the engine off, at night, away from any station is exactly what siphoning looks like. The sensor sees it and tells you immediately.

Sudden-drain alerts

Abnormal draw-down — from a leak, a tampered line, or an unauthorized transfer — triggers a real-time alert with the volume and timestamp.

Refill verification

Every fueling event is verified twice: what the pump dispensed and what the tank received. Short deliveries stop being invisible.

Per-vehicle consumption analytics

True liters-per-100km per vehicle, per driver, per route — measured, not estimated. Spot the trucks burning 20% more than their twins.

Who It's For

Built for fleets where fuel is the biggest line item.

Logistics & Haulage
  • Long routes make siphoning easy — sensors make it visible
  • Verify every fuel stop against what the tank actually received
  • Compare driver consumption on identical routes
Mining & Heavy Plant
  • Monitor bowsers and stationary tanks on remote sites
  • Catch overnight drains at unmanned locations
  • Reconcile on-site fueling against bulk purchases
Construction Fleets
  • Track fuel across machines that never leave site
  • Detect fuel diverted to private vehicles or resale
  • Per-machine consumption for accurate project costing
